The BYOES is a semi-closed, do-it-youself EcoSystem. Simple to set-up, the BYOES kit contains everything you need to make an exciting, semi-closed EcoSystem. Simply provide a half-liter of purified drinking water, the rest is included in the kit!

The BYOES™

• These shrimp can live for years inside the BYOES™. On average you may expect 2 to 3 years; some have been known to live even longer.
• Requires no feeding. Everything the shrimp need is inside the BYOES™ in the form of algae and bacteria. Do not feed the shrimp or you may upset the delicate balance of the BYOES™.
• In this kit are BioSticks™ which act as filters for shrimp waste. They are made with thousands of tiny holes for bacteria and break down waste into usable nutrients.
• The BYOES™ has been designed for easy assembly at home or office. Simply provide 0.5 liter (16.9 fl. oz.) of purified drinking water. The rest is included in the kit.
• The Shrimp TransportBottles™ can be transported on an airplane safely and meets TSA regulations, being less than 100 ml (3.4 oz.) of liquid.
• Contains no harmful bacteria and is safe for children 10 and older to assemble. Always provide adult supervision when assembling and handling the BYOES™
